Sturmkatze can set up your hosting for you -- whether it is a larger or high traffic site, which would need its own server or a smaller site (under 10mb) that we can help you host on a free server (most ISP's give their customers free webspace), we can do it for you.

Larger Site Hosting on Your Own Server -- This starts at around $10.00 a month (if paid-for a year in advance) and can go on up, according to space used and the bandwidth your site uses. Most reenactor sites though, will not take that much bandwidth and will do fine on a lower plan. And, if you do some looking, webspace can be found for less, you just need to research it. |
Domain Names
Sturmkatze can also help you with setting up a domain name (like www.your-unit.org)... we can help you set up a domain name that will attach your domain name to any web page, thus allowing it to look like it's on your own server, but costing much less! This way, if you have to move your site to a different server, you can easily change the place to which the domain name points. So, for example, if you have your site hosted on your personal IP space or a free server and you need to move it (perhaps because you are now getting too much traffic for their free plans), you just change the references.
